UVB 76

This is another one that I have kept coming back to.  UVB 76 also known as The Buzzer.  It's a radio station which sends out a buzzing sound which is interrupted every now and then with some kind of code involving names and numbers all spoken in Russian.

The buzz is sounded 25 times per minute 24 hours a day and has been doing so since around 1982 but the exact start is debated.

The location of the broadcast was worked out and you can see photos taken in the abandoned station.  The broadcast is still in operation from a new location as of 2010 which is also known.  The only thing that is still very unclear is the purpose of it.  Lots of odd theories out there so it makes for an interesting bit of Google/YouTube time.
